IDS and Project Partners were the winners of the 'Excellence in Asset Management' category of the 2021 IPWEA NZ Asset Management Excellence Awards with the 'IDS Waka Kotahi (NZ Transport Agency) Strategic Maintenance Investment Justification Project'.
Strategic Maintenance Investment Justification Project aims to answer a key question: how much investment is needed in order to maintain the 24,000km of New Zealand State Highway Network over a 3-year funding block (2021 - 2024)? ​ This project brought together the best technical engineering minds in New Zealand, sharing knowledge and expertise, that not only met Waka Kotahi’s goals and specified budget, but far exceeded what anyone believed was possible, and the resulting model is a legacy they are all universally proud of!
