Each of the three days of workshops and training has a different theme:

Day 1

...features

  • Deighton representatives presenting on expanding the use of dTIMS. Currently roading clients only use 30% of the dTIMS capability.
  • NZTA will be presenting on what they are looking for in the funding applications. While some government policy and funding criteria is still to be finalised, it is an opportunity to hear from NZTA what they are looking for in a robust funding application. There will also be an opportunity to place questions.

The day will be supplemented by case studies and best practice presentations. There will also be workshops to discuss issues and challenges around pavement deterioration modelling and network outputs.

At the end of Day 1 there is dinner with entertainment planned as well.

Day 2

...is a more interactive look at some of the issues brought up from Day 1 and high level general presentations about how to get the best results from our modelling and forward work programme processes. It will look at some of the bigger questions such as what are we trying to achieve:

  • How we determine network needs?
  • How do we present those needs?

There will also be discussions and workshops around preparing for the upcoming LTCCP funding round:

  • How do I best meet NZTA’s requirements to get the best result for my network?
  • What preparation is needed?
  • What process should I follow?
