The management day focus will take into account feedback received from NZTA and the meetings IDS have had to date with licensed users.
Licensed users will also be supplied with copies of the latest dTIMS software, the IDS NZ Pavement Performance Modelling setup, and updated training material. This training is designed to assist road controlling authorities, consultants and contractors to fully utilise all the benefits dTIMS has to offer.
Training Objectives
The objectives of this training are:
- To understand what dTIMS CT is.
- To be able to utilise the system in your business process to support optimized decision making in your Activity/Asset Management Plans and LTCCP.
- To show what dTIMS CT can do for you.
- To get some in-depth understanding of the new pavement deterioration models, creating appropriate outputs and changing the system to customise it to local practice.
Training Levels
Two levels of training courses have been organised for potential users of the dTIMS CT system:
Management: one day course giving an overview of the system.
This session will have non technical content and will provide a workshop opportunity for asset managers, product suppliers, service providers and analysts. The attendees will receive an overview of the analysis process and the outputs generated, with a particular focus using the outputs in reporting. Some approaches to assist with different maintenance objectives and industry requirements will also be discussed.
Technical 1: One day technical course covering the NZPPM concepts, process, and tools from an introductory level and is targeted at the analysts and asset managers who want a better understanding of the analysis detail. This session will provide
- A description of the NZPPM process, highlighting key considerations and concepts.
- A familiarisation with new Deightons dTIMS v8.5 software interface.
- Updated software and setup to IDS Licensed users.
Who Should Attend?
Each level is targeted for a special group:
Management: Asset managers, road managers, RAMM users, planners and others involved in road and pavement management or maintenance programming.
Technical 1: Asset managers, road managers, RAMM managers and users of the NZ dTIMS system who are only interested in viewing and querying the results of dTIMS CT analyses. Also engineers from Local Authorities who need a deeper understanding of the technical issues related to the system.
