ZIP File Downloads
23 Jul 2010

We currently have an issue with the downloading of ZIP compresed files from the IDS website. We are working with the ISP to fix this issue at the moment.

The issue only exists when ZIP files are downloaded from the IDS site using Microsoft Internet Explorer, other browsers were found to have no problems. In the interim, some of the files will be compressed using WinRAR until the problem can be resolved.

As temporary work-around, please do one of the following:

* Use an alternative browser like FireFox, or Google Chrome. If you are not allowed to install software onto your pc due to not having administrator permissions, you may choose to use portable versions, with no installation required: FireFox, Google Chrome

* 1. Use WinRAR to extract the downloaded file (if the file was downloaded with Microsoft Internet Explorer).
  2. Add a '.zip' extension to the EXTRACTED file.
  3. Extract the renamed file as you would do normally

We will keep you posted.

IDS NZTA Report Template
08 Jul 2010

IDS has made an early version available of the NZTA dTIMS Reporting Template. This reporting template has been developed to assist regional State Highway asset managers in having the dTIMS outputs presented in a concise and understandable manner.

The content of dTIMS outputs can be misrepresented quite easily, minimising the value that can be added to the decision making process of network managers. The purpose of this template development is to provide a consistent, to the point and easy to read reporting tool for the many NZTA regional network across New Zealand.

The report is available to licensed users here. If you are a licensed user and have trouble accessing the members area, please contact the IDS Helpdesk. If you are not a member and would like to know more on how to become a member, please contact Theuns Henning, the IDS Business Manager.
